Rosehips

pink roses
Rosehips are the round part of a rose below the petals. They contain the seeds of the flower and are absolutely potent with vitamin C, 60 times the amount found in an orange to be exact.
Benefits of vitamin C include its ability to stimulate the production of collagen in the body. Collagen is a protein that helps to form structure in your body, bones, skin, connective tissues etc.  It's 75% of our skin's make up (at birth) and over time we lose the ability to produce as much naturally. This is why, when applied topically, it helps improve skin’s firmness and helps to prevent wrinkles and fine lines.
Rosehips are also high in beta-carotene, an antioxidant that promotes the renewal and growth of skin cells, providing a further regenerative boost!
But that's not all! The benefits continue with EFAs (essential fatty acids). These fatty acids act as moisturizers for the skin, also helping to keep skin cells strong and able to retain moisture.
High in bioflavonoids, rosehips awaken and revitalize tired-looking skin and help reduce the signs of aging. Vitamin C is also known to have a skin-brightening effect, giving your complexion a natural radiance.
It's one of the many amazing ingredients found in our Mist,  Aka Step 2 in our 3 Daily Rituals skincare system.
